West Michigan Teen Challenge came to campus to spend time talking with our 9th grade students about making right choices in life. Our guests from Teen Challenge were organized by gender to speak to our 9th grade boys and girls in class size settings about the dangers of alcohol and drug use.
Their stories were varied and diverse and resonated with our students as they heard how drug use unraveled their lives until they lost everything and hit rock bottom.
R-PHS student, Alaina Boersma shared, “They were inspirational and impactful, to the future we could possibly have being drug free.”
A male panelist remarked, “It was awesome to see how all the students were completely engaged. It’s nice to see their faces as our message hit them.”
Teen Challenge endeavors to help people become mentally sound, emotionally balanced, socially adjusted, physically well, and spiritually alive. We have high hopes that their message will strengthen our students’ stance against the use of drugs and alcohol. Life is so much better spent in the absence of these dangers.
