The Annual Turkey Run is preparing for another huge success on Thanksgiving Day!  With many helping hands from R-P and surrounding community members, 2,000 meals will be  prepared and delivered to people all over Muskegon county starting at 9:30 a.m. in the cafe at Reeths-Puffer High School.

The Salvation Army has partnered with R-P for many years to provide a warm Thanksgiving meal that includes turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, sweet potatoes and green beans.  The food is collected by the Salvation Army and addresses organized by Bob Carter, retired Muskegon County Sheriff.

The lead volunteers at R-P are:  Ralph and Jean LeMieux, and Connie Falbe. Without their leadership and tireless hours of preparation, the Turkey Run would be a challenge to pull off.  Kudos to these wonderful people.

If you would like to volunteer, we need help in the form of meal line volunteers, “runners” helping to load meals in cars and the most valuable of all jobs, the deliverers of the meals.  Volunteers should plan to arrive at R-PHS at 9:15 a.m. for organizational purposes.
