For students interested in broadcasting, journalism, public relations, or a related field, CMU offers one of the most comprehensive media programs in the country. Whether it’s television, radio, print, or public relations, you’ll be involved on a national scale with award-winning hands-on experiences.
- CMU’s broadcast and cinematic arts program is the only one of its kind with two student-run radio stations providing you with irreplaceable experience in running a radio cluster.
- Students have won multiple state, regional and national awards, including 13 consecutive designations as College Television Station of the Year from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters.
- CMU has one of just two accredited journalism programs in Michigan.
- CM-Life, the student-run newspaper, annually earns national awards for top advertising, public relations, marketing, design and social media from the College Media Business & Advertising Managers.
