Monday night was truly memorable as the class of 2016 earned over $800,000 in scholarship money! The seniors were presented scholarships and awards by thirty community leaders as well as sixteen staff members making for a memorable night for both our seniors and their parents.
An example of one of our senior scholarship winners is Connor Brown (photo below). Connor was awarded the Safebuilt Construction Scholarship in the amount of $500.00 based on his performance and leadership through his Construction Trades class at the Muskegon Area Career Tech Center. Connor is the first Rocket to be awarded this scholarship and we are very proud of him.
Mr. Beckeman, Principal of R-PHS, awarded Luke Lewis the Principal’s Award for his involvement in school activities, school spirit and ability to break down barriers and misconceptions that sometimes inhibit student expression.
The night was filled with other scholarship and award winners, too many to present in one post! We are very proud of the class of 2016 and have great confidence of future success for them.
